Terms of Service
Last updated: October 9, 2026
The deal between you and us when you use Dojo Lister, in plain English. How we handle your data is in our Privacy Policy.
The short version
- Dojo Lister is early-access software. It's free for now, and it may change.
- You're responsible for your listings and your Etsy account.
- We're independent of Etsy. Etsy doesn't make, run or endorse Dojo Lister.
- Don't misuse the service: no automated or abusive access, nothing that breaks Etsy's rules.
01Agreement and who we are
Dojo Lister is operated by HandyCoco LLC, a New Mexico limited liability company (“we”, “us” or “our”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and us covering this website, the demo and the Etsy connection (together, “the service”).
By using the service, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use it. If you use Dojo Lister for a business, you agree on that business's behalf.
02Eligibility and accounts
- You must be at least 18 (or the age of majority where you live, if higher), and able to enter into a contract.
- You must own the Etsy shop you connect, or have authority to manage it.
- There are no Dojo Lister accounts during early access. You sign in on Etsy, not with us.
- You're responsible for your Etsy account, including keeping your login safe and following Etsy's terms.
03Early access
Dojo Lister is in early access and still being built. That means:
- Some features are incomplete, and some only exist in the demo for now.
- The demo uses a made-up sample shop. Its numbers are sample data, not real results.
- We don't promise any particular uptime or availability.
- We may change, pause or stop any part of the service. When we reasonably can, we'll tell you first.
Feedback shapes what we build next. Send it to support@dojolister.com.
04Connecting your Etsy shop
You approve access on Etsy's own permission page. By connecting, you accept these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
- We ask for three permissions only:
listings_r,listings_wandshops_r. How we work with Etsy explains each one. - We create or change a listing only when you press Save. New listings are saved to your shop as drafts, and we never delete listings.
- You can revoke access anytime in Etsy → Account settings → Apps (Connected apps) (opens in a new tab), or by disconnecting inside Dojo Lister once full sync launches.
Today, connecting is a test. It only checks that Etsy's approval step works (and, when our server is fully set up, which permissions were granted). We keep no token and store nothing from your shop.
05Your content
Your listings, photos and shop text belong to you. Using Dojo Lister doesn't change that.
You give us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to access, copy and process your content only as needed to provide the service, for example to score a listing, or to send a new listing or an edit to Etsy when you press Save. This licence ends when you disconnect, apart from what we need to finish deleting your data.
You confirm that you have the rights to the content in your listings.
06Suggestions are just suggestions
Scores, suggestions and keyword ideas come from rule-based checks, not AI. They're there to help you decide, they aren't professional advice, and they can be wrong.
- You decide what to save, and you're responsible for keeping your listings accurate, truthful, and in line with Etsy's policies and the law.
- We don't guarantee any sales, traffic, views or search ranking, on Etsy or anywhere else.
- Etsy runs its own search, and we have no say in how it works.
A belt shows how complete a listing is, not how well it will sell.
07Acceptable use
Please use Dojo Lister fairly. You agree not to:
- Access the service, or Etsy through it, by automated or abusive means
- Copy, decompile or reverse engineer the service, except where the law allows it
- Overload, disrupt or try to break into the service or the systems behind it
- Send spam, or publish anything unlawful, misleading or that infringes someone else's rights
- Breach Etsy's terms or policies
- Sell, resell or share access to the service without our written permission
If you break these rules, we may limit or end your access (see Termination).
08Our relationship with Etsy
Dojo Lister is independent. Etsy isn't a party to these Terms or responsible for the service, so questions about Dojo Lister should come to us, not Etsy.
The term 'Etsy' is a trademark of Etsy, Inc. This application uses the Etsy API but is not endorsed or certified by Etsy, Inc.
We use the Etsy API under Etsy's API Terms of Use (opens in a new tab). Etsy can change, limit or end our API access, which could affect or stop parts of the service. If that happens, we'll tell you as soon as we can. Your use of Etsy itself is covered by Etsy's own terms.
09Fees
Dojo Lister is free during early access.
- If we introduce paid plans, we'll announce pricing at least 30 days before any paid plan starts.
- We'll never move you onto a paid plan unless you choose one yourself.
10Our intellectual property
The Dojo Lister name, logo, design and software, and the content we create (like the scoring checklist and this website), belong to us or our licensors. These Terms let you use the service; they don't give you ownership of it or the right to copy it.
If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them to improve Dojo Lister without owing you anything.
11Disclaimers
To the extent the law allows, the service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. That includes any promise that it will be error-free or uninterrupted, suit a particular purpose, or that suggestions will be accurate or improve your results.
Some places don't allow certain warranties to be excluded. If you live in one, parts of this section may not apply to you, and you keep the rights the law gives you.
12Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows:
- We're not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses, or for lost profits, sales, revenue, data or goodwill.
- Our total liability for any claim about the service is limited to the greater of what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or USD 50.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that the law doesn't allow us to limit, such as liability for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
13Indemnity
If someone makes a claim against us because of your listings or your breach of these Terms or Etsy's terms, you agree to cover our reasonable costs and losses from that claim. We'll tell you promptly and give you the chance to help respond. This doesn't apply to the extent the claim was caused by us.
14Termination
- You can stop anytime: revoke access in Etsy → Account settings → Apps (Connected apps) (opens in a new tab), or disconnect inside the app once full sync launches.
- We can suspend or end your access if you seriously or repeatedly break these Terms, if Etsy requires it, or if we stop offering the service. Where reasonable, we'll tell you first.
- Your data. After you disconnect or your access ends, we delete your shop data within 30 days, as our Privacy Policy explains.
Sections that naturally should survive, like disclaimers, limitation of liability and indemnity, keep applying after these Terms end.
15Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of New Mexico, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled by the state and federal courts located in New Mexico, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim in your local courts.
If something goes wrong, please email us first at support@dojolister.com. Most problems can be sorted out with a conversation.
16Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms as Dojo Lister grows. We'll post the new version here and update the date at the top. For important changes, we'll give reasonable notice before they take effect (by email or in the app, once accounts exist). If you keep using the service after a change takes effect, you accept the updated Terms.
